One of the smart ways that AirTouch 5 can help save on energy costs with the home air conditioning is with an Auto OFF timer. Auto OFF will automatically turn your AC Unit off after the pre-set period of time, no matter how it was turned on. This can help save energy and give you peace of mind knowing you don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn off the AC when you leave home. Imagine going on a trip and leaving the AC running the entire time…that could be an expensive holiday!
To access Auto OFF, enter the Quick Menu, and select Settings. Tap Smarts, and then Set Point Limit. Set the Auto OFF timer for your desired level.
Good to remember: If Auto OFF is set to 2 hours and a program turns the AC on for 3 hours, the AC will still turn off after 2 hours because Auto OFF overrides the Timer/Program functions.
