Pairing the AirTouch App on your Smartphone to the AirTouch Console

How do I pair my AirTouch App on my smartphone to AirTouch?

AirTouch gives you app control of the home air conditioning. You just need to pair your phone app to AirTouch to get started, which is normally a very quick and easy process. Make sure you have downloaded the relevant app for your AirTouch version from either the Apple App Store if you are using iOS or Google Play Store if you are using Android. When the AirTouch App is installed on your phone, follow these steps to pair it with AirTouch.

If you are at home and on WiFi

Make sure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network as AirTouch. When you open the App, pairing will happen automatically and you should see your AirTouch controls appear. AirTouch and your phone will normally stay connected when you leave the WiFi network, as long as Internet Access on your console it turned on (see below).

If you are on a 3G/4G/5G connection

Make sure AirTouch is connected to WiFi.

Open the AirTouch App on your smartphone.

At the Pairing Screen, enter the Device ID for your AirTouch. You can find this by selecting the Quick Menu on your AirTouch 5 console, and it’ll be in the lower right hand corner.

On AirTouch 2 Plus or AirTouch 4, open the Quick Menu, and select the Preferences tab to show your unique Device ID.

The default Internet Access Password for AirTouch is Polyaire. We recommend changing this in the app or on your console.

If you can’t connect to AirTouch over the Internet

You may need to turn on Internet Access on your AirTouch console through the Quick Menu, and System Settings. Alternatively, make your you don’t have a home firewall in your router that is blocking AirTouch communications.

  1. Hi there. Our AirTouch 2 no longer connects to wifi. It says “connecting” and just stays like that forever. Similarly, when scanning for available networks, it gets stuck with “Scanning….”.

  2. Why can’t I access AirTouch remotely when I’m away from home to turn my system on and off?
When I try access it away from home wifi it tells me I can’t access the app.

Is there a way I can change it so I can access the app and system whilst away from home. That’s the whole reason I purchased this.

    1. Hi Damian, sounds like Internet Access is turned off on your AirTouch. Jump into the Quick Menu (top right) and select Settings. Then make sure Internet Access is ticked.

    1. Hi Stewart, something to check is if your WiFi router is a dual band, eg works on 2.4 and 5Ghz, make sure both your AirTouch and phone/tablet with the app are connected to the same band, eg both are on the 2.4 or 5Ghz network when you are trying to setup. Then the initial pairing should work. Otherwise, contact our support and we’ll diagnose and help incase it is a network permissions or firewall setting.
